San Diego County reports 390 new COVID-19 cases, 5 deaths

San Diego County public health officials reported 390 new cases of COVID-19 and five virus-related deaths Thursday.

Thursday's data brought San Diego County's cumulative totals to 366,056 cases and 4,183 deaths.

The number of COVID-positive patients in San Diego County hospitals Thursday was 273, an decrease of three from Wednesday, with 86 of them in intensive care — five more than Wednesday — according to the latest state figures.

A total of 35,888 tests were reported to the county on Thursday, and the percentage of new positive cases over the past week was 2.5%, according to the San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency.
