A wind advisory is in effect in parts of San Diego County until 11 a.m. Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
West winds from 20 mph to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are expected in the San Diego deserts.
Areas of blowing dust can reduce visibility at times. Gusty winds can blow down tree branches and cause power outages.
The NWS recommends using caution when driving, especially those in high-profile vehicles, and securing outdoor objects.
