Reflecting on her years covering the Middle East, she writes: "I witnessed the first suicide bombing attacks against American targets, in the 1980s, during my many years in Beirut. And she does. She goes where the story is, no matter how scary the place. She has tracked the origins and growth of global Jihad, cracked open the world of cyber-hacking in Iran and reported on the deaths of Iranian generals in Syria.
Wright will be in San Diego on Tuesday for a lecture at the University of San Diego on the challenges of getting to the truth while on the frontlines of a war.
