John Vandiver reports on the Stars And Stripes blog that rock/rap/country star Kid Rock is giving away his brand new album, 'Born Free,' to all members of the U.S. military for FREE as part of a special offer that lasts until Dec. 16.
The 13-song collection includes collaborations with Zac Brown, Sheryl Crow, Bob Seger, Martina McBride and rapper T.I. The record's title track, released last week, is a special tribute to American troops and was performed by Kid Rock on last week's Country Music Awards on ABC. He received a standing ovation for the impassioned song. Kid Rock also appeared this week on the American Music Awards.
Downloaders should use a stateside home-of-record zip code (APO zips don't work) and a valid .mil email address to get access to the new album. Information and downloading instructions can be found at this website "It's our way to say thank you," says Kid Rock on the site.
