Many nationwide business chains are honoring the military this Memorial Day by offering discounts - and in some cases freebies - to active-duty service members and veterans, according to MemorialDayFreebies.com.
If you're hungry, you can head over to Hooters (for the food, of course). The restaurant chain is offering free chicken wings for active-duty military and veterans. Show your Military ID, and you'll get an order of ten free wings with the purchase of a beverage.
If you had too many wings and want to work off some of that chicken, stop by 24 Hour Fitness. They're offering free access to more than 400 clubs across the country. All active-duty troops, reserve, and veterans are welcome.
Maybe you want to spend Memorial Day checking off a few items from the "Honey Do" list. Both Home Depot and Lowe's are providing a 10 percent discount to all military veterans.
