U.S. Army Spc. Tofiga J. Tautolo, who grew up in the Los Angeles suburb of Wilmington, California, was killed over Memorial Day weekend in Afghanistan, according to the Department of Defense.
Tautolo, 23, was killed May 27th when his vehicle was hit with an improvised explosive device, or IED.
Tautolo was assigned to the 3rd Squadron, 61st Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson, Colorado.
