Green Beret Killed By IED In Afghanistan

Army Sgt. 1st Class Aaron A. Henderson, 33, died October 2nd at Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan - succumbing to wounds suffered from an IED blast on September 30th, according to the Department of Defense.

Henderson was a Green Beret assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) at Fort Campbell in Kentucky.

Henderson grew up in the small town of Houlton, Maine. Rev. Randall Burns, lead pastor at Military Baptist Church in Houlton, told the Bangor Daily News that Henderson's death has rocked his congregation and community:
