Five service members from the International Security Assistance Force were killed when their helicopter crashed in southern Afghanistan yesterday, according to the Department of Defense.
An unnamed U.S. official told Stars and Stripes the five service members killed were American.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, but initial reporting indicates there was no enemy activity in the area at the time of the incident, officials said.
ISAF spokesman Maj. Adam Wojack told Stars and Stripes the helicopter that went down was a UH-60 Black Hawk.
