The pilot and co-pilot of a California Army National Guard helicopter suffered minor injuries when the chopper crashed Tuesday evening at the Ramona Airport.
Cal Fire Capt. Kendal Bortisser told UT-San Diego the helicopter crash-landed on its side at about 6 p.m.
The pilot and co-pilot were able to get out of the aircraft on their own and were later taken to the hospital as a precaution, according to City News Service.
An investigation in to what caused the mishap is underway, the Los Angeles Times reports.
