Hearings Begin on Conditions at Walter Reed

Wounded soldiers and their family members testify in congressional committee hearings today about Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

Veterans Affairs officials are under fire after Washington Post articles reported substandard conditions at the facility. The Post reported that veterans receiving treatment at Walter Reed face squalid living quarters and maddening red tape.
