Gov. Jerry Brown reappointed two South Bay men to the California Boating and Waterways Commission and a Chula Vista woman to the California State Park and Recreation Commission on Monday.

Douglas Metz, of Coronado, and Frank Peralta, of Bonita, serve on a panel that provides advice and comment to the state Division of Boating and Waterways.

Metz, 82, has served on the commission since 2006. The Republican heads a consultancy for the wine and spirits industry, and was CEO and general counsel of the Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of America for 21 years until 1998.

Peralta, 69, has been on the panel since 2012. The Superior Court bailiff and former deputy sheriff is registered without party preference.

Reappointed to the California State Park and Recreation Commission was 35-year-old Myrian Solis Coronel. The Democrat is manager of marketing and national partnerships at outdoor activity gear seller REI, and previously worked for radio station KPBS.

All three positions require Senate confirmation. The compensation is $100 per diem.
