Firefighters moved quickly Tuesday morning to put out a brush fire that erupted near the Chula Vista Municipal Golf Course in the Bonita area.
Smoke and flames were spotted coming from an open field behind a driving range along Bonita Road near Willow Street shortly before 6 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
No structures were threatened and no one was injured, a Chula Vista fire dispatcher said.
