Evacuations have been lifted for a wildfire in Lakeside on Wednesday that was threatening 20 homes, a Cal Fire official said.
All evacuations and road closures were lifted around 3 p.m. Cal Fire Chief Issac Sanchez said. Eight homes in the 14000 block of Willow Road were evacuated as a precaution, he said.
Willow Road, which has since reopened, was also closed, Sanchez said.
The Willow Fire started around 12:50 p.m. near the 14000 block of Willow Road as a slow-moving grass fire that flared up to 20 acres, according to Cal Fire said.
The fire's forward rate of spread was stopped around 2:15 p.m., the agency said.
