The ceremony will feature opening remarks from Ari Novy, SDBG President and CEO, and a moment of silence at 11:15 a.m., the exact time the bomb was dropped. Attendees will also be invited to participate in a community wish-writing activity. This significant tree is a part of a years-long partnership with Green Legacy Hiroshima, a global initiative that distributes seeds and saplings from Hiroshima’s survivor trees to promote peace, remembrance, and resilience around the world.
