Filmmaker Oliver Stone is not known for his subtlety so when he decided to take on a story about 9/11'an event that still remains too painful a subject for some to revisit'there was concern that he might not be the right man for the job. Stone's resulting film, World Trade Center (opening August 9 throughout San Diego), turns its attention to the true story of a pair of Port Authority policemen who were on duty that fateful morning.
