Peter Jackson Sets the Record Straight on The Hobbit
Filmmaker Jackson Makes First Comic-Con Appearance
Tuesday, July 28, 2009
Peter Jackson has made taped appearances at Comic-Con but this year he arrived in person (and yes that skinny guy is indeed Mr. Jackson, he lost a lot of weight around the time of "King Kong") and was warmly greeted by the 6500 people in Hall H. Although he was at the Con to present "District 9," he took a moment to set the record straight on exactly where things were on "The Hobbit," the two-part prequel to "Lord of the Rings" that he is producing and Guillermo Del Toro is directing. That's one of the cool things about the Con, you get to hear straight from the filmmakers and can ask about rumors that sometimes swirl around eagerly anticipated productions. Here's what he had to say about the state of "The Hobbit."
I'll have more on "District 9" later.
