Memorial Day Kicks Off Free Museum Visits For Military Families
Wednesday, May 22, 2013
Starting Memorial Day, military families will be able to visit more than 2,000 museums across the country free of charge.
All active duty service members, National Guardsmen, and reservists are eligible, along with their families. They just need to show their military identification at the door.
This is the fourth year for the 2013 Blue Star Museums Program. The National Endowment for the Arts, the Defense Department, and the Blue Star Families organization all work together to make it happen.
The 2013 Blue Star Museums Program lasts until Labor Day.
