A half-dozen San Diegans are on the roster of White House interns for this spring, it was announced Friday.
White House internships give participants professional experience and a chance to build leadership skills.
The locals included in the spring internship program include:
• Angelica Allen, Encinitas, who attends the University of Oxford in England;
• Silave Barwari, San Diego, George Washington University;
• Bryan Cesolini, Poway, George Washington University;
• Kavitha Lobo, San Diego, Cornell University;
• Samuel Nejabat, San Diego, Dartmouth College; and
• Alicia Zamora, San Diego, Harvard University.
The interns work in such departments as the Domestic Policy Council, National Economic Council, Office of Cabinet Affairs, Office of Communications, Office of Digital Strategy, Office of Legislative Affairs and Office of Management and Administration.
They also gain experience in the offices of the First Lady, Vice President and White House Counsel, and the Political Strategy and Outreach, Presidential Correspondence, Presidential Personnel, Public Engagement and Intergovernmental and White House Fellows offices.
