A 2.9 magnitude earthquake struck eastern San Diego County on Thursday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The quake struck shortly before noon about 15 miles (25 kilometers) southwest of Ocotillo Wells and about 7 miles (12 kilometers) away from Julian.
USGS said the tremblor had a depth of about 6 miles (9.9 kilometers).

There were no immediate reports of damage.
