Another day of scorching temperatures was in store for San Diego County today, forecasters said.
According to the National Weather Service, hot weather will continue into at least early next week because of strong upper-level high pressure over the West.
Daytime temperatures are expected to be up to 10 degrees above seasonal averages.
The Weather Service said the heat wave will produce highs today ranging from the mid-70s to mid-80s along the coast, mid-80s to mid-90s inland, 90s in the mountains and triple digits, up to 114 degrees, in desert areas.
The NWS forecast a high today of 90 degrees in Bonsall, Escondido and Poway, 95 in El Cajon, 98 in Ramona and 100 in Pine Valley.
