It's a festival featuring music, food and beer but also a place to have conversations about San Diego's future.
Voice of San Diego's annual Politifest is back Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Liberty Station’s Central Promenade.
This year's theme is "Live, Work, Learn," with special guests Republican gubernatorial candidate Neel Kashkari and Democratic Assembly Speaker Toni Atkins of San Diego.
Scott Lewis, Voice of San Diego's CEO, said the event focuses on three important fundamentals affecting our region: jobs, schools and housing.
It also will feature 50 community booths and presentations on such topics as "Women and Solar," "ABC's of Common Core" and "Why Our Streets Suck."
Plus there's a kid zone, beer garden and beer pong.
KPBS is one of the sponsors of Politifest and will have a booth at the event.
