Live Arts Festival 2017

The Live Arts Festival is a 10-day dance and arts festival curated by Jean Issacs. This year's theme, "Think About It! Dance About It!" uses today's news and issues to guide the work.
This weekend you will see Heart-Driven by Daniel Diaz, a piece inspired by letters and notes the artist writes to himself when there is no one to talk to. Plus Enthalpy of Fusion by artist Anna Katharina Scheidegger, a multimedia performance that uses melting ice sculptures to reflect the effects of global warming.

'The Wizard of Oz' with the San Diego Symphony

Watch the 1939 film "The Wizard of Oz" on a giant screen while the San Diego Symphony Orchestra performs the score by Harold Arlen and Herbert Stothart.
The family-friendly event will have a costume contest before the show, so come dressed as your favorite character (prize is a four-pack of tickets to "Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets" at Bayside Summer Nights). Sign up in the outer lobby starting at 6:30 p.m.
