The Story Of 'Sixty-Six Garage' Serialized In LA Times Podcast
When reporter Joanne Faryon first became aware of a Coronado nursing home patient known as Sixty-Six Garage, she was working at KPBS and deeply involved in investigating end of life care. But then, something happened. The strange, sad story of the man with no known identity, being kept alive on machines for more than 15 years became an obsession.
Now, Faryon tells the whole story of Sixty-Six Garage in a new podcast from the LA Times studios that has become one of the most popular in the nation. The six-part investigative series is called "Room 20" and it both solves mysteries about Sixty-Six Garage and raises questions about how we define consciousness and life itself.
Faryon joins Midday Edition Monday with more on the story she tells in her new podcast.
