California has been at odds with the White House since President Trump took office.
The state has filed or joined more the 60 lawsuits against the administration over everything from immigration to environmental regulation.
So it’s no surprise that California is also playing a pivotal role in the ongoing impeachment inquiry against the president.
Democratic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff have become key public figures leading the investigation. But Californians are also on the other side of the impeachment drama with Republicans Kevin McCarthy and Devin Nunes of the Central Valley defending the president.
