East County has a new representative on the San Diego County Board of Supervisors.
Joel Anderson was sworn in Jan. 4. He replaces Dianne Jacob who could no longer serve on the board because of term limits.
From the pandemic to the county’s climate action plan, the county board is navigating its way through big challenges. Anderson is one of the more conservative voices on the board.
He joined Midday Edition on Thursday to discuss his priorities and the enforcement of state and county rules aimed at slowing the spread of COVID-19.
