Quicker Airport Security Screening for Military?

American servicemembers may soon be able to move through airport screening more quickly, if a new Transportation Security Administration (TSA) initiative gets the go-ahead. The TSA is conducting screening tests of the new plan starting today at Monterey Regional Airport in California.

Frequent fliers with Delta Airlines and American Airlines can already participate in a similar program when they fly out of certain airports. It's called Pre-Check, and - according to CNN - it's "a risk-based program that expedites screening for registered travelers and airline crew members."

The TSA plans to expand its testing of the military screening program to bigger airports like LAX in Los Angeles, McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, and Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
