Marine Corps Sgt. Sheena Adams of Vista, California will be a guest of first lady Michelle Obama at tonight's State of the Union address.
According to a Department of Defense new release, Adams was in Afghanistan from September 2010 to April 2011 in direct support of the 1st Battalion, 8th Marines.
After returning to the United States, became part of the advisor training cell for the Camp Pendleton-based 1st Marine Expeditionary Force. She is credited with re-engineering the program of instruction for female engagement team members.
