The daughter of one of the "Real Housewives of Orange County" recently married a Camp Pendleton Marine, much to the initial chagrin of her reality-show star mother.
Staff Sgt. Ryan Culberson eloped in Las Vegas with Briana Gunvalson in October 2011 without telling Briana's mom Vicki Cunvalson, who is a regular cast member of "Real Housewives." Fortunately, Vicki recovered from her shock enough to throw the newlyweds another wedding last month. And not too soon, as Briana is expecting the couple's first child, a boy.
Culberson, a joint terminal attack controller with the 11th Marines at Camp Pendleton, spoke with the Marine Corps Times about his unlikely new gig as a reality show sidekick. Culbertson says it's inspired some teasing from his fellow Marines:
“They say they’re going to change my call sign to ‘Housewife.’ Most of my superiors’ wives watch it, so they’ll see me on TV and ask if I had makeup on.”
