"America's Got Talent" Singing Vet Caught In Another Lie (Video)

The hole "America's Got Talent" contestant Timothy Poe is digging for himself keeps getting deeper. The Minnesota Army Guard veteran who falsely claimed combat injuries on national TV also provided the reality show with a fake photo of himself in Afghanistan.

The photo, shown in an AGT montage about Poe's military service, is actually of U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Norman Bone. Bone told TMZ.com:

"First thing that came to my mind was 'Why would this lying son of a b*tch do this?'... I'm absolutely furious. Been seeing red all day."

Poe's fiance Carrie Morris defended his photo fakery in a KENS-TV news story, at top.

Anthony Anderson, Jr., manager of the Stolen Valor Facebook page, told Fox News that he heard Poe got eliminated from AGT pretty early on in the contest, so NBC isn't fretting about the kerfuffle. (Poe's segments on the show have already been taped.)

Anderson also blasted Poe's claims of grenade-caused injuries:

“We have found out that (Poe) only served one month in Afghanistan, and left due to an ear infection. He has also said that he never sang before, but we were contacted by an ex-band member who said they performed together for six years.”
