Post-Fire, Schwarzenegger Visits San Diego to Encourage Tourism
Governor Schwarzenegger traveled to Southern California Wednesday in an effort to encourage tourism in the areas that have been most recently hit by wildfires. He held an event near Lake Arrowhead , which is a region that was affected by the flames.
Schwarzenegger : So I wanted to come back here today to just let the people know in California and all over the United States and all over the world, that Lake Arrowhead is open for business.
The governor also stopped in San Diego to encourage tourism. In addition, the California Travel and Tourism Commission recently launched a national TV and print campaign to encourage people to come to the state.
The ads feature the governor and First Lady Maria Shriver, as well as a number of celebrities such as Rob Lowe and Vanessa Williams.
