Red flag warning for San Diego valleys, mountains extended to Friday

The National Weather Service has extended the red flag warning for San Diego's inland valleys and mountains through 6 p.m. Friday due to low humidity and strong, gusty winds in the forecast.

Northeast winds of 15 to 30 mph with gusts of 60 mph and daytime humidity below 10 percent are expected to keep wildfire danger elevated through Friday afternoon.
