Will Rodriguez-Kennedy is out of the hospital and in quarantine after spending nearly a week in an intensive care unit fighting COVID-19.

While efforts intensify to slow the spread of COVID-19 and limit the number of people who are sickened and whose lives are threatened by this disease, there are some who have already come out the other side.

The head of the San Diego County Democratic Party, Will Rodriquez-Kennedy, is now out of the hospital after spending nearly a week in an intensive care unit fighting COVID-19.

Rodriguez-Kennedy is continuing his recuperation in quarantine and he joined Midday Edition on Friday to share his coronavirus story.
