Wind Advisory Issued For San Diego

A wind advisory went into effect for the inland valley and mountain areas of San Diego County early today.

According to the National Weather Service, high pressure moving over the Great Basin will bring offshore winds gusting at up to 50 miles per hour in the mountains and inland valleys through early Thursday afternoon. The wind advisory, which went into effect at 4 a.m., is scheduled to expire at 1 p.m. Thursday.

Winds will decrease somewhat this afternoon before strengthening again tonight, the Weather Service advised.
