San Diego Gas Price Drops Largest Daily Amount Since January

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County recorded its largest daily decline since Jan. 27 Thursday, dropping six-tenths of a cent to $4.285.

The decrease is the second in a row following a five-day streak of increases that pushed the average price to its highest amount since Feb. 27, 2013, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

Despite the back-to-back decreases, the average price is nine-tenths of a cent higher than a week ago, 25 cents more than a month ago and 40.3 cents greater than one year ago.
