Charles Manson Prosecutor Says New JFK Book Puts Conspiracy Theories to Rest

Maureen Cavanaugh (Guest Host): The man who prosecuted one of the most infamous murderers in California history has now written a book about one of the most infamous murders in American history, the assassination of President John F Kennedy. In doing so, Vincent Bugliosi says he is, as the title of his book declares, Reclaiming History , and putting to rest more than 40 years of conspiracy theories.

As a prosecutor in LA during the 1970's, Bugliosi won a conviction against Charles Manson for the Tate/LaBianca murders, proving to a jury that Manson was the mastermind behind the slayings. After the trial, Bugliosi wrote a best-seller about the case called Helter Skelter.

In the years, that have followed, Vincent Bugliosi has written, among other things, about his outrage over the acquittal of OJ Simpson and his call for the impeachment of members of the U.S. Supreme Court for their decision in the Bush v. Gore case after the 2000 election.
