In this one-hour special, BORN TO EXPLORE travels to Namibia for an in-depth look at the most endangered cat in Africa — the cheetah.

Explorer Richard Wiese discovers why Namibia is known as the cheetah capital of the world. He meets Dr. Laurie Marker, founder of the Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF), to see what’s being done to save these cats from extinction.

Loss of habitat, human-wildlife conflict and the illegal wildlife trade have impacted cheetah populations worldwide and there are now fewer than 8,000 left in the wild.
