Captain America Military Salute at Comic-Con to Benefit Navy Families (Video)

Each year at Comic-Con, studios host a big, spashy event to entertain the more than 130,000 attendees and (of course) drum up interest in their big summer blockbusters. This year, Variety reports, the big movie is "Captain America: The First Avenger" and the big, splashy event is the Captain America Military Salute.

The salute surprisingly has another purpose, and that's to raise money for the Navy SEAL Foundation. According to its website, the Foundation's purpose is to provide both emotional and financial support for the families of Navy SEALs:

The Captain America Military Salute takes place on Thursday, the first official day of Comic-Con. Chris Evans, who stars as the title character in "Captain America," recorded this message for the Navy SEALs Foundation: http://youtu.be/ld1Qa--w31U
