Soldier Dies From Non-Combat Related Injuries Suffered In Afghanistan

Army Spc. David T. Proctor, 26, died March 13 at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland from non-combat related injuries he suffered in Afghanistan on March 3, according to the Department of Defense.

Proctor was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, 1st Armor Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Stewart in Georgia.

Proctor was from Greensboro, North Carolina. TheCoastalSource.com reports Proctor was on his first deployment to Afghanistan. He joined the Army in August of 2011.
