Southwest airlines resumed its service to and from Lindbergh Field today, following yesterday's cancellation of all flights.
Outside the San Diego airport terminal the skies were brightening, But yesterday's delays created a stormy environment inside as passengers lined up to resume their travels.
Helen Tamba was on her way to Oakland when she arrived at Lindbergh Field on Thursday and was told she shouldn't bother to unload her luggage because Southwest flights had been canceled.
"So we had to go back and we kept calling every hour to see if there were some changes," she said. "But they told us the computer said it was canceled."
An airport spokesperson said she expects tonight to be very busy as well. Passengers should plan to arrive at Lindbergh Field two hours early.
