Free Yoga On The USS Midway This Saturday

Have you always wanted to do a downward facing dog on an aircraft carrier? Well, now's your chance to knock that one off your bucket list. Saturday morning the USS Midway will host a free yoga class on its flight deck.

The Downtown San Diego Partnership teamed up with Scripps Health to offer the yoga class, which will be lead by Yoga One yogi Amy Caldwell.

The reason for the free class? According to the Downtown San Diego Partnership... kick off Scripps Health's "Healthy Living in the City," a Downtown wellness program that offers free strolls, cooking classes and yoga instruction.

OK, here are the details, according to USS Midway:

-Registration: 7 a.m.

— Class begins promptly at 8 a.m

— Please note that parking on site is $10

— Please bring your own yoga mat

Yoga practitioners of all levels are encouraged to attend, even if you don't know a child's pose from a fierce warrior.
