SDG&E Shuts Off Power To 360 Customers Due To High Winds

San Diego Gas and Electric shut off power to about 360 customers in San Diego County on Monday due to high wind conditions that could pose a risk for wildfires.

The areas impacted include: Valley Center, Pauma Valley, Rincon, La Jolla Indian Reservation, Hellhole Canyon La Jolla Indian Reservation, Mesa Grande, Santa Ysabel, Palomar Mountain and Lake Henshaw.

The National Weather Service issued a red flag warning due to strong wind gusts and low humidity, warning county residents to exercise extreme caution outdoors to prevent starting any fires.

In Northern California, Pacific Gas & Electric began cutting power Sunday night to tens of thousands of customers after the National Weather Service warned of extreme fire danger across the state due to high winds, low humidity and dry vegetation.
