Sculptor Greg Marra is paying tribute to slain former Navy SEAL Chris Kyle by making a life-size statue of him, and donating the piece to Kyle's widow Tara.
The Military Times reports the 400-pound clay statue is currently at Schaefer Art Bronze Casting in Arlington, Texas, where it's in the process of being bronzed.
Kyle, 38, was the author of the bestselling memoir American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History. He was shot to death at a Texas shooting range last month.
Dallas television station KTVT put together a story on the evolution of the Chris Kyle statue. Take a look, posted up top.
