On SNAPSHOT, explore the eclectic and often eccentric side of San Diego with photographer Tim Mantoani as he travels with his camera capturing the stories and pictures that make up this amazing part of the world we call home.
Tim has an eye for telling a story in a single frame of film but there is so much more to every subject than just that memory captured in time.
Tim is excited to share his encounters, whether it’s interviewing a visionary surf board shaper or crossing the border to Tijuana to experience the unique world of Mexican wrestling.
Through Tim’s trained eye and engaging personality, we can learn more about the people and places that make the San Diego area so rich with culture.
"Paralympic Athletes - Rudy Garcia-Tolson & Blake Leeper" - Through Tim's work with Challenged Athletes Foundation he's met and photographed not just amazing athletes, but truly inspirational people.
Tim catches up with his old friend and Paralympic medalist Rudy Garcia-Tolson, a championship swimmer and the first athlete Tim photographed for the foundation.
We also meet another Paralympic medalist and the man who hopes to become the first bilateral amputee to compete with able bodied athletes in the 2016 Olympics in Rio, Blake Leeper.
They will each take us through their own individual journeys: growing up different from the other kids and how sports changed their lives, propelling them onto the world's stage.
