Life is easy to take for granted, but what if you discovered you were suddenly going to die?
At a young age, Rowena Kincaid was forced to answer this question — leading to an incredible response. "Before I Kick The Bucket," is an awe-inspiring documentary that follows Kincaid, a terminally ill patient determined to make the most of the life she has remaining.
In 2013, while working as a photo editor at the BBC, Rowena receives a terrible diagnosis: she has late stage breast cancer and only a few months left to live.
Heroically, she faces this terminal illness and decides to accomplish as much as possible, chronicling her life along the way.
Armed with an incredible sense of humor, Rowena produces two documentary features, reaches out to other terminally ill patients, and organizes her own 40th birthday party.
Rowena passed away in September 2016, but she created this film to promote awareness of terminal illness and to emphasize the life-saving power of early diagnosis.
Heartbreaking and life affirming, "Before I Kick The Bucket" honors one woman’s love, laughter, and courage in the face of tragedy.
