—Follow restaurateur, author and television host Huang on his unique path to the American Dream—
He became an attorney to please his parents, but Eddie Huang’s heart was always in the kitchen. As the founder of New York City eatery Baohaus, Huang infuses traditional Chinese dishes with his own flair.
Out of the kitchen, he drew upon his experiences as a first-generation Asian-American to write the memoir “Fresh Off the Boat,” which inspired an ABC sitcom.
As he tells BREAKING BIG host Carlos Watson, he never intended to share a “fake cornstarch General Tso’s orange chicken version of [my] life in America… People want to know what’s really good.”
