THE WOMAN IN WHITE is a new series adapted from the 19th century mystery novel by Wilkie Collins.
The five-part series stars Jessie Buckley (TABOO) as the strong-minded heroine Marian Halcombe; Ben Hardy ("Bohemian Rhapsody") as the young teacher Walter Hartright; Olivia Vinall ("Where Hands Touch") as the heiress Laura Fairlie; Dougray Scott (“Mission: Impossible II”) as the villainous Sir Percival Glyde; and Charles Dance (GAME OF THRONES) as Mr. Frederick Fairlie, the uncle of Laura and Marian.
When a young man encounters a ghostly woman dressed all in white on a moonlit road, he is drawn into a web of intrigue that will transform his life forever. Offering his assistance to this distressed, spectral woman, he is later shocked to discover that she had just escaped from a nearby insane asylum.
EPISODE GUIDE:
Episode 1 airs Saturday, Jan. 26 at 11 p.m. - Walter Hartright encounters Anne, a woman dressed all in white, on Hampstead Heath and learns she escaped from a nearby asylum. Walter falls in love with his pupil, Laura Fairlie, but she's set to marry Sir Percival Glyde, who put Anne in the asylum.
Episode 2 airs Saturday, Feb. 2 at 11 p.m. - Walter is sent away before he can learn the truth about Anne. Laura confesses her feelings about Walter to Sir Percival, who in turn moves up their wedding. Anne's mother visits the newlyweds' home in search of her daughter, who's been seen nearby. Sir Percival’s enigmatic friend, Count Fosco, arrives at Limmeridge.
Episode 3 airs Saturday, Feb. 9 at 11 p.m. - As Sir Percival faces money troubles, Laura learns the truth about her new husband. Marian begins to suspect that Count Fosco is up to no good and resolves to find out what he and Sir Percival are plotting.
Episode 4 airs Saturday, Feb. 16 at 11 p.m.. - Count Fosco and Sir Percival set their sinister plan into motion with tragic results. Marian and Walter make a horrifying discovery.
Episode 5 airs Saturday, Feb. 23 at 11 p.m. - Sir Percival’s secret is exposed, and Walter risks everything for the woman he loves.
