Wet weather is in store for San Diego County today. A Pacific weather system will move into southwestern California this afternoon and evening, bringing periods of light rain to the region, according
to the National Weather Service. The rain will begin along the coast in Orange County and move south and east.
Less than a quarter-inch of rain is forecast for most areas.
"Roadways could be slippery, especially during the onset of the rain and during the afternoon rush hour due to oil buildup on the roads, as it will have been more than two weeks since the last rain,'' according to an NWS advisory.
