A Third Of Vets Say Iraq And Afghan Wars A Waste

One in three veterans of the post-9/11 military say the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were not worth the cost of fighting, according to a new poll.

The survey from the nonpartisan Pew Research Center breaks down those numbers even further into support for the wars individually, with 44 percent of post-9/11 era veterans saying the Iraq War was worth the cost. Half of those vets polled say the war in Afghanistan was worth fighting.
