Early Turkey: St. Vincent's Offers Meal Today

While millions of people are on the nation’s highways and in the air heading home for Thanksgiving, some people in San Diego plan to serve turkey today. The St. Vincent de Paul Village is continuing its tradition of serving Thanksgiving dinner a day early – Father Joe Carroll says with so many agencies serving the dinner tomorrow, St. Vincent’s moved its turkey meal to the day before so those in need have several days of special meals. About 1500 non-residents will be served turkey and all the trimmings at 11 this morning. Father Carroll says more than 800 residents of the village will be served at 5 tonight.
