San Diego Rainfall Still Below Average
The rain that started Memorial Day weekend San Diego didn't get us much closer to average rainfall for the year. The rainfall total at Lindbergh Field Friday and Saturday was twenty-one-hundredths of an inch.
National Weather Service forecaster Stan Wasowski says that brings for the month of May to about three-hundredths of an inch above "normal" for the month of May. But we're still 3.45 inches below normal for the year, and we're running out of a rainfall year.
Wasowski: There's only 36 days or so left in the rainfall season...and I believe one of the wetter Junes has been around an inch of rain. So to make up the full 3.45 is probably pretty much out of reach.
Wasowski says, it looks like San Diego county will end the rainfall year with only two-thirds of normal precipitation.
